Series 1: Episode 6

Lady Panufnik | widow of Andrzej Panufnik
Oliver Zeffman | conductor
& Bartholemew LaFollette | cellist

2014 marks the Centenary of Sir Andrzej Panufnik, and on Friday 31 January the Melos Sinfonia will perform his Cello Concerto with conductor Oliver Zeffman and cellist Bartholemew LaFollette. Last week, Lloyd spoke to Oli and Bart at Riverside House in Twickenham, where Panufnik lived for many years with his wife Camilla, who still lives there today. Topics that came under discussion included the Cello Concerto and Panufnik's life and music more generally. To finish, we hear a recording of Wagner's Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde, performed by the Melos Sinfonia and Cara McHardy. Buy tickets for the concert at LSO St Luke's here.

Alison Beskin | flautist

Alison is a flautist who hails from Atlanta, USA. She completes her Master's degree at the Royal Academy this year and recently she sat down with Lloyd to look ahead to some of the concerts and events they are most excited about in the coming months.
