Series 1: Episode 7

The Hermes Experiment | Héloïse Werner, Oliver Pashley & Anne Denholm

Three of the four members of this very exciting new music group join Lloyd to discuss the progress they have made so far. The Hermes Experiment was recently named as the joint winner of Nonclassical's Battle of the Band competition, and they have plans for future concerts in London and a tour to France in September. Next week, they will perform Lloyd's new work, composed collaboratively with the group, at Kettle's Yard in Cambridge. More info on that here

Murray Richmond | SU President, Royal Academy of Music

Student-led concerts have become increasingly popular in our music colleges recently. On Friday 7 February, the RAM SU orchestra present A Night At the Movies with conductor James Murray, in aid of charity. As the title suggests, the evening will feature a wide selection of film scores, from classics like Gone With the Wind right up to the modern-day blockbusters such as Lord of the Rings. Organiser Murray Richmond previews the concert with Lloyd and they also talk about West End theatre, in which he can often be found playing in the pit band! More info and tickets available here.
